Robert H. 'Bob' Stecchi
of Haverhill, MA

HAVERHILL - Robert H. 'Bob' Stecchi, 77, of Haverhill, passed away Friday, August 10, 2018, at High Pointe Hospice House in Haverhill, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Geraldine (Hugo) Stecchi of Lowell.

A son of the late James and the late Mildred (Cady) Stecchi, he was born May 22, 1941, in Lowell, and was raised in the Rogers Street neighborhood, and educated in the local schools.

Mr. Stecchi was a fighter, and fought professionally for many years, fighting on the same card as Muhammad Ali during his last fight in Chicago. He was also a local Golden Gloves Champion.

Residing in Lowell for most of his lifetime, he owned A-1 Roofing and Construction for many years until his retirement. Bob enjoyed driving and showing his Harleys and Corvettes. He was a member of the Masonic Temple and was a member of the Aleppo Shriners Drill Team, and was also a member of the former Italian Club. He was a parishioner of the Immaculate Conception Parish in Lowell.

His survivors include his son, Raymond L. Stecchi and his wife, Karen, of West Townsend; his daughter, Angela Dupont and and her husband, Bruce Hevey, of Haverhill; his step daughter, Donna Bunker and her husband, Mark, of Billerica; his grandchildren, William Stecchi, James Stecchi, Theresa Hevey, Kyle Bunker, Alyssa Bunker, Dylan Bunker, Tyler Bunker, and Kelsey Bunker; his brother, Frank Stecchi of Hawaii; his two sisters, Phyllis Leclercq of Florida, and Linda Steccchi of Salem, NH; his friend and former spouse, Linda Bolduc of Lowell; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and his family of friends at Macheras' Garage in Lowell.

He was the brother of the late James Stecchi.

STECCHI - YOU ARE INVITED TO HIS CALLING HOURS 4 UNTIL 8 PM, ON MONDAY. ON TUESDAY, HIS FUNERAL WILL BEGIN AT 9 AM, AT THE MAHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 187 NESMITH STREET, LOWELL 978-452-6361. HIS FUNERAL MASS WILL BE OFFERED AT IMMACULATE CONCEPTION CHURCH, 144 EAST MERRIMACK ST., LOWELL 10 AM. BURIAL IN ST. MARY CEMETERY.
