Catherine Wasiak Obituary
9/18/1926 - 7/12/2013
Born in Montreal, Catherine Birt lived her early years in B'lyn, NY. She grew up in Ireland & moved to Scotland at 19, where she met and married Leopold Wasiak. They had two children, Shireen & Leon. They moved to the USA in 1966 where the family finally settled in Billerica, MA. Catherine worked many years as a secretary until retirement. She devoted her senior years to ministering & counseling others. Catherine was a longtime member of the church choir at St. Theresa's Catholic Church in Billerica. She is survived by her daughter, Shireen Truitt, and son, Leon Wasiak; and two grandchildren, Ryan and Amanda Wasiak. A memorial mass will be held at St. Theresa's Church, 466 Boston Rd., Billerica, MA on Friday, August 2nd, 9 am.
