Carol Jean (Bennett) McCarthy Obituary
Carol Jean (Bennett) McCarthy Job well done! Work here on earth has ended for God's special Angel, Carol Jean (Bennett) McCarthy. Her love for life, and all who were in it, is the legacy that she has left behind for all who had the privilege to know her. She loved, laughed, encouraged, and praised all who came in contact with her knowing we too would show the same kind of love and compassion, to others that came into our lives. She was entrusted with the lives of many precious children through her daycare business that many lovingly referred to as "Carol's Kids". Carol has molded many young lives, by giving them a sense of community, a passion for learning, and more importantly, a feeling of being loved that extended beyond their home. Carol's faith in God, was displayed not by preaching the word, but by teaching the fundamental principles, of how to live a Godly life, living and leading by example, and showing grace and mercy to all. Love never ending! Carol is survived by her son Dave Holstein, daughter Darcy Schmitt, grandchildren Paige Schmitt and Nick Schmitt, sister Pat Dalman and brother in-law Bruce Dalman, brother Tom Bennett and sister in-law Nancy Bennett, sister Mary Lou Galardi, many loving nieces and nephews, and of course " Carols Kids". Carols Memorial Event will be held at Eagle Eye Golf Club, 15500 Chandler Rd., East Lansing, Michigan 48823, on May 11, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. Please support The American Cancer Foundation in lieu of flowers. We look forward to celebrating Carol's extraordinary life with everyone!
