Elizabeth Smith Obituary

Elizabeth Anne (Hopper) Smith

East Lansing - A beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt passed away on February 22, 2020, at McLaren hospital surrounded by her caring and loving family at the age of 65. Elizabeth was born on June 17, 1954, in Flint, Michigan. She was a proud homemaker and long time member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in East Lansing. Her life's joy and greatest accomplishment were her children and grandchildren: Joshua Smith (Iman, Imogine, Titan), Amber Smith, Randy Smith, and Ashley Smith (Chloe, Matthew). In addition to her 4 children and 5 grandchildren, she is survived by her siblings Melinda Hull, Julie Morrison (Ronald), and Brian Hopper, as well as her Aunt Kathleen Fuller. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents Frank Albert Hopper Jr. and Mary Josephine Peters Hopper. The family will receive friends on March 7, beginning at 10 AM and the funeral mass will directly follow at 11 AM at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 955 Alton Rd., East Lansing. The right of committal will be held in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Lansing, on March 9, at 2 PM.

I have many fond memories of Beth going back many years, all of the birthday and Holiday party's in the townhome and also at Lala's when all of you were just children, she will be greatly missed ! I am so sad that I wont be here for the memorial service, I'll see you on the 9th, I love you all so much. Take care of yourselves . With Love. Uncle Rick
