Elizabeth (Bette) Maxine Pritchard
Bette died on December 25, 2020, at Hillsdale Hospital's McGuire Unit, of Covid-19. She was born into a pandemic on June 27, 1920, in Lansing, MI, to Joseph and Ethel T. (French) McMasters. She graduated from Eastern High School, and was a long-time member of Olivet Baptist Church. She was married to Gordon J. Pritchard for 54 years. She is survived by her daughter, Linda K. Pritchard (Mary Osborne); two sons, Michael T. Pritchard (Suzanne Davis) and Stephen D. Pritchard (Robyn Chamberlin); two grandchildren, Daniel Pritchard (Stefani Sheffield) and Stephanie Pritchard (Jesse Cohen); niece, Pamela Nico; and nephew, Jeffrey Nico. She was preceded in death by her husband; sister, Patricia Nico; and brother, Joseph E. McMasters. She worked as a cook in the Waverly Community Schools before she and Gordon moved to Traverse City as owners of Capital Business Services. They retired to Harlingen, TX, but spent summers at Lake Leelanau RV Park in Michigan. Special thanks to her caregivers at Ingham County Medical Care Facility in Okemos, MI, where she celebrated her 100th birthday in June. A memorial service will be held when it is safe to do so.
