Lester Fulson Obituary

Lester James Fulson Lansing Age 76, was born January 1, 1932 in Lansing, the son of Minnie Mae and Lester Ray Fulson. He was the 2nd of 9 children. After graduation from Eastern High School, he worked briefly for Lansing Drop Forge and Diamond Reo. He retired from Motor Wheel Corp. after 32½years. Lester loved watching sports, especially basketball, baseball, and boxing. He was preceded in death by: his parents and brother, Calvin Brown. Survivors include: his wife of 46 years, Mary; son, Paul Maffett; daughter, Gloria Stalling; grandchildren, Paula Maffett, Mia Jackson, Tiffany (Mentharn) Jordan, Todd (Nateea) Maffett, and Brent Maffett; 8 great-grandchildren; 5 sisters, Lucille (Fredie) Everett of Flint, MI, Brenda Delanley, Carol Ann McKinnley, Stacy Brown, and Tracy Foster of Arlington, TX; 2 brothers, Purnell (Carolyn) Green of Flint, and Chrisopher (Carolyn) Brown of Tennessee; 2 brothers-in-law, James Maffett of Detroit, and Leon (LaVonne) Maffett of Lansing; and a host of other relatives and friends. Friends may visit Mr. Fulson today, July 10, 9 a.m. - 9 p.m., at the Riley Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 11, at Grace Tabernacle Church, 1819 W. Willow Street, with the Rev. Robert Nicholson officiating. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior the funeral.
