Betsy Lou Robson Obituary
Betsy Lou Robson Lansing Betsy Lou Robson, age 68, of Lansing, Michigan, died peacefully, surrounded by friends and family on June 26, 2010 after a brief illness. Betsy was born on April 14, 1942 in Bath, Michigan, and attended school at St. Thomas Aquinas, Resurrection and Bath High School where she graduated. She worked at various jobs until she and her brother, George, both hired on as bus drivers with CATA in 1972. Betsy retired from CATA in 2000. She is survived by sisters, Shirley (Richard Hanna) of East Lansing and Mary (Clark) of Mackinaw City; brothers, Burton (Sharon) of Portland and George (Cynthia) of Petoskey; and her best friend, Joanne Schreiber of Lake Elsinore, California. She leaves behind many sad friends and family and her beloved dog, Gretta. Betsy loved horses and enjoyed doing arts and crafts. She had a special fondness for models of lighthouses and various loons, which filled her home. Her real avocation and lasting mark, however, was her ability to help people who really needed it. The stories of people who survived and prospered specifically because of the help she offered are numerous and remain her lasting legacy. She truly was a lighthouse and beacon for many. A Funeral Mass will be held for Betsy at St. Thomas Aquinas on August 16 at 10 a.m. followed by interment at Rose Cemetery in Bath.
