Patsy Fisher Obituary
Lubbock- Patsy Nell Fisher went to be with her Lord in Heaven on July 6, 2018 while surrounded by her family and listening to her beloved George Strait. She was born in Dickens County, Texas on May 8, 1934 to Claude and Inez McLaughlin and was a graduate of Lubbock High School. She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty years, the love of her life, Billy Fisher, her parents Claude and Ines McLaughlin, her older sister Evelyn Perkins and her husband Kenneth, her younger brother James Ralph McLaughlin and his wife Connie, and her daughter-in-law Lisa Fisher. Patsy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, GG, and aunt. She supported all of her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews in every aspect of their lives including Girl Scouts of Lubbock, Coronado, Midland High School, and Texas Tech football, numerous high school and club soccer and softball teams, and motocross. Patsy was a diehard Red Raider fan. Along with her sister Evelyn she was a season ticket holder for Texas Tech football and men and women's basketball for over forty years. She was also a member of The Red Raider Club. Patsy, and her late husband, were members of Greenlawn Church of Christ. She worked at the Lubbock Cotton Classing Office, McLaughlin Mfg., and for Texas Tech University's Rawls College of Business from where she retired after thirty years of devoted service. Patsy was an avid member of Lubbock Women's Bowling Leagues, opened her home to numerous foreign exchange students, and was also a member of the Redbud Society. She lived her life in true dedication and service to her family, friends, and her community. She is survived by her eldest son Jerry Fisher and his wife Darla of Midland. Her only daughter Claudia Fisher, and youngest son Todd Fisher both of Lubbock. She is also survived by her oldest grandson Michael Fisher, his wife Kristina, and their two children Trenton Daniel and Makenna Marie of Midland. Her only granddaughter Charlsa DeLucia, her husband Casen, and their son Jacob Cooper-Fisher of Lubbock. Also by her youngest grandson Jeffery Fisher and his wife Emily of Lubbock. Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 10, 2018 from 6:00 PM to 8:00PM at Resthaven Funeral Home with services on Wednesday, July 11 at 10:00 AM at Greenlawn Church of Christ. The family would like to thank the staff of Covenant Medical Center's MICU 5 and Amelida Roset, CNA for their loving care and support during this time. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the , The Masked Rider Foundation, or Texas Tech's Athletic Department.
