Billie Lemons MORTON-Church service for Billie Lemons, 86, of Morton is scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012, at First Baptist Church, Morton, with the Rev. Clay Coursey of Morton and the Rev. Harold Harrison of Whiteface officiating. Burial will be in Morton Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Ellis Funeral Home, Morton. Billie died Nov. 6, 2012, in Morton. She was born May 20, 1926, to Fred and Nola (Hudson) Crow in Winters, Texas. She married Leon Short Lemons in Morton on July 14, 1946. He preceded her in death in 1991. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Nola Crow, and her son, Dale Lemons. Billie moved to the Morton area in 1928 from Winters, Texas. Billie raised her family in the County Line Baptist Church. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Morton, and was very involved in the Mary Martha Sunday School Class. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family. She is survived by three sons, Dennis Lemons and wife Donna of Morton, Texas, Rickey Lemons and wife Lana of Midland, Texas, and Donnie Lemons and wife Darla of Mineral Wells, Texas; one daughter, Treva McCarty and husband Patrick of Novato, Calif.; daughter-in-law, Janice Lemons of Greely, Colo.; sister, Helen Smith of Tulia, Texas; brother, Noel Crow of Morton, Texas; 11 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to , 3411 73rd, Lubbock, TX 79423, or to Legacy of Love Hospice, 125 Marshall Hwrd. Blvd., Littlefield, TX 79339.
