Naomi R. Sotelo, 82, of Greeley, died Sunday, September 10, 2017 at Swedish Medical Center in Englewood. She was born on November 26, 1934 in Charlotte, Texas to Margarito and Rosa-Mora Ramirez.

Naomi grew up in the Charlotte and Uvalde, Texas areas. After her marriage to Macario "Mac" Sotelo on September 13, 1971 in Lubbock, Texas, they lived in Lubbock. They moved to Greeley in 1989.

Naomi was a member of Eternal Rock Church in Greeley. Her passion in life was caring for her family. She loved to cook many wonderful dishes, especially her enchiladas, menudo and tamales. She enjoyed sewing, quilting and doing crafts. She was very creative in decorating her home. She also enjoyed shopping at thrift stores and finding something that was a prize to her. Naomi was always happy and loved life.

Naomi is survived by her husband, Macario "Mac" Sotelo of Greeley; three daughters, Gloria Urias (Jessie) of Midland, Texas, Olga Melendrez (Johnny) of Lubbock and Irene Mendez of Greeley; two sons, Robert Sotelo of Greeley and Marcus Sotelo (Amanda) of Lubbock; four sisters, Minerva Galindo (Rene) of Rock Springs, Texas, Elizabeth DeLeon (Emilio) of Lubbock, Dora Ramirez of Rock Springs and Diana Rivera of Lubbock; six brothers, Refugio Ramirez of North Webster, Indiana, Sammy Ramirez (Margarita) of Amarillo, Texas, David Ramirez (Erlinda) of Greeley and Joe Ramirez (Marlene), Raul Ramirez and Rudy Ramirez all of Lubbock; 19 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Diamantina and four brothers, Pete, Margarito Jr., Ray and George.

Funeral service will be at 3:00 pm on Monday, September 18, 2017 at Guajardo Funeral Chapels.

Interment will be at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park, Woodrow, Texas, under the direction of Guajardo Funeral Chapels.
