It has been many years since I had seen Marla, but I do remember her bright smile she had for everyone. I went to school with Marla at Hudson and lived not too far from her.

May God Bless your family at this time and keep you wrapped in his arms for comfort.

Dear Anzo,

Though I never met your beautiful Marla, I felt an empty spot in my heart when Ellen told me of her death. I know the pain and emptyness of surviving the loss of a love, but the loss of a child is something I cannot even fathom. I am thinking of you in that dark hole. Please be very gentle to yourself, as you are fragile, and accept the quiet time it will take to heal. Those we love remain with us always.

News travels fast when a friend passes away. I have not lived in Lufkin for many many years and was always abreast of Lufkin's marriages, deaths, births and coming and goings of classmates by my cousin Lauralyn. With Lauralyn's passing several years ago to cancer - I don't get my updates anymore, but another friend sent me an email of this sad departure of Marla.

Such a bright and funny girl she was back in school - God Bless Her.

I would like to convey my condolences to Marla's family and remind them to keep all the good memories in the fore front. My thought and prayers are with you.
