Lorraine Hire Obituary

Lorraine C. Hire, 80, of Las Vegas, died July 29, 2003. She was born on May 24, 1923 in Carpio, N.D. and has resided in Las Vegas since 1945. Lorraine was a bookkeeper in the automotive industry as well as a Sunday School Teacher. She was preceded in death by her son, Michael W. in 1991. Lorraine is survived by her husband, Robert; daughter, Bobbie White, of Fresno, Calif, granddaughters, Leah Arndt and Laurie D'Arcy, both of Las Vegas; great-grandchildren, Katelynn Arndt, Joelle Hopfer and Cameron D'Arcy, all of Las Vegas; brother Butch Buttedahl of Florida; and sister, Mable Buttedahl of Wash. Memorial will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, August 4, at Bunkers Mortuary, 925 N. Las Vegas Blvd. Donations can be made to, Faith Lutheran Jr./Sr. High School Scholarship Fund, 2015 South Hualapia, Las Vegas, Nevada 89117.
