Emma Mitchell Obituary

Emma Jean Mitchell, 78, of Mt. Clemens passed Thursday, March 25, 2021 at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital. Born December 5, 1942 in Bogalusa, LA to the late Samuel and Evelyn (Wooten) Williams. As a homemaker, she enjoyed hosting during the holidays, especially Thanksgiving. Emma was an avid golfer, bowler, gardner, and reader. She was a member of more than 20 years at Christ Center Community Church in New Baltimore where she was regarded as the Mother of the Church. Survived by son Tracy (Nancy) Mitchell, daughters Alicia (Rushell) Marshall and Roxanne (Wynn) Mitchell, grandchildren Ashliegh and Troy Mitchell, and great-granddaughter Jada Monet Mitchell. Preceded in death by husband James in 2003, sister Margie Wallace and brother Gary Williams. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Harold W. Vick Funeral Home, 140 South Main Street, Mt. Clemens. Burial in Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery, Clinton Twp. To ensure everyone's safety, the family will have a private service and will invite all to a Celebration of Life gathering later in the year.
