Cecelia G. Allen

Cecelia G. Allen, age 64, died on January 16, 2013. Cecelia was born on June 14, 1948 in Detroit to the late Philip and Catherine Cipolla. She graduated from Pershing High School in Detroit. She also worked for several years as a teacher's aide in the Clarkston schools helping special needs students. Cecelia loved to read, travel, and especially her Italian heritage, perfecting the art of Italian cooking. Cecelia is the cherished mother of Matthew P. (Kimberly) Allen and Amanda E. Allen. She is the adored grandmother of Liam, Sofia, Avery, Connor and Antonio. She is a dearest sister to her twin Amelia (George) Georgiou, brothers Philip (Lori) Cipolla and Robert (Cathy) Cipolla, and youngest sister Paulette (Steve) Jennings. Cecelia leaves behind a wonderful legacy of unconditional love and loyalty in her children, grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews and cherished lifelong friends. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 8459 Hall Rd. (3 blocks E. of Van Dyke) Utica. Friends and family may visit from 1 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday and 10 - 11 a.m. before the services on Saturday.
