Dr. Ralph K. Adams Jr.

Dr. Ralph K. Adams Jr., age 89, of Macomb, formerly of Clinton Township, died Tuesday, July 23, 2013. He was born January 16, 1924 in Little Rock, Arkansas to the late Ralph K and Viola Adams, Sr. He married Maxine E. Shattuck on June 13, 1953 in Farmington. She died May 17, 2011. Ralph served his country in the United States Navy during World War II. He was a chiropractor for over 35 years and retired from Ford Motor Company after 30 years of service. He was a member of UAW Local #228 and Moose Lodge #1837 in St. Clair Shores. He enjoyed shooting pool, fishing and was a classic country music fan. He is survived by seven children, Donald Adams, Denise (George, Jr.) Lovelady, Elaine Adams, Norma Gail Adams, Stewart (Ed) Adams, Milli Adams and David (Renee') Adams; seven grandchildren, Thaleah, Brenda, Tammy, Patricia, Laura, Steven and Megan; five great-grandchildren, Anastasia, Dominic, Natasha, Brayden and Olivia and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Ralph K Adams III, a sister Dorothy Winstein and a brother James Adams. Visiting hours will be held from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Friday in Smith Family Funeral Home-North. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 27, 2013 in Smith Family Funeral Home-North, 1525 Hancock Street, Port Huron with visitation starting at 10 a.m. Reverend Max Amstutz will officiate.
