I was so sad to discover that such a wonderful man as Carl had passed-away in 2013. I worked for Carl as a new Agent in the Detroit FBI Office. He was always easy to speak with about a specific investigation, and a pleasure to work for. I will never forget that he would respond to all bank robberies in the Detroit area, and would appear on the scene holding the Thompson sub machine gun. He will never be forgotten by his family, friends, and those who knew him at the Bureau. God Bless you, Carl.

Our familiy had the distinct honor, privilege & pleasure of becoming close to Carl, his dear wife, Dotie, and their wonderful children during our assignment to the FBI's Detroit Div. from 1970 - 1971. He was a highly professional, capable & competent individual, family man, FBI Agent, mentor, supervisor & leader. We mourn his passing for he will be greatly missed by all who had the opportunity to know, work with, or otherwise associate with him. Our deepest regrets and condolences to Mike, Tom, Joe, Nancy, Suzi, Barby, Laura, and their families. We had great times with your mom & dad & you all during those days in the 70's! Please be assured that your father, grandfather & great-grandfather will always be remembered as one of "America's and the FBI's finest" by all who knew him. You and yours are fondly remembered and, at this difficult time, being thought of in Sympathy & Friendship.

I have such wonderful memories of time spent with your family as I was growing up. Despite having a houseful of their own, there was always room for me and the family traditions. I will always hold a special place in my heart for your Dad and his caring ways and gentle heart. My deepest sympathy and love.

Carl was one of the most selfless people I've ever known. He was smart, kind and charitable. A true gentleman. He will be missed. I hope that the grief will pass gently for those that loved him.

I met Carl at daily mass at St. Gertrude's, he, Donna and I became "church buddies". He was one of a kind, a very spiritual, smart and funny guy. Many times he would lead the rosary and chaplet of divine mercy after mass. A few times I went with them to the soup kitchen, a place that was very dear to his heart. He always had a smile and kind word, and thought of others first.
My heart goes out to the family, May God's love comfort you all.
May he rest in peace.
