I am very sorry for your loss. My condolences to you and your family.
I did not know Greg, but I did know his sister Denise & her husband Dan, and his brother Jeff, briefly, from working with them at Bodega restaurant. My thoughts are with you & your family.

I remember a big bear of a man whom I loved to hug. Always laughing and full of life. I loved the times that I was able to go to Uncle John and Aunt Dorothy's home and be with Greg, Boscoe, Denise, Jeff and Geary. While I cannot be with the family during this time, please know that I am always with each and every one of you in spirit. I love you all. Leea (Mann) Berndt, Californi

I remember when our "Dale Street Gang" played Cowboys and Army, and engaged in all sorts of nonsense and stuff parents probably wouldn't let their kids do nowadays. When we were cowboys, "Greggie" was "Stoney Burke", and I was Stoney Burke's little sister. I could never be "the girlfriend"; that would be too embarrassing! When we were in the Army, Greg was a Captain, and Geary was the Lieutenant I got to be 2nd Lieutenant, even though I was a girl. (Lynn, Susie, Donna and Rose Ann had to settle for being nurses, ha, ha). That was 50 years ago.
I remember Greg bringing over his Alice Cooper album in '71, and blasting "The Ballad of Dwight Frye" so loudly half the neighborhood could hear it.
One of my best memories is when we went to see Van Morrison at the Fisher Theater in '74.
You will always have a special place in my heart, Greg.

Greg was an amazing man, a loving husband, son, brother, and uncle. His legacy in education will live on in the many students that have been fortunate to have Mr. B as a teacher. Glad we could spend a few days with Greg and Judy on his spring break. We were fortunate to have known him. Judy, you are in our thoughts and prayers.

Judy, I will miss Mr. B. so much. He has got to be one of the nicest people that I have ever met. I was really looking forward to having him come back to Twin Lakes one day to sub. But God needed him more in heaven. My prayers are with you.

January 15, 2012,
Greg was such a wonderful man, fantastic husband and friend, marvelous role model and teacher and will be missed forever by those of us who had the privilege to know him. I will always be glad I got to know him and that he loved Judy so much. May GOD bless and help his family as they go on without him. GOD has a great angel on his team now. I will keep all of you in my thoughts and prayers.

Greg had many close friends growing up. I'm happy to have been one of them. He was one of the kindest persons I've known. We had many laughs and shared many great times. My heart goes out to Judy and the rest of the family for the loss of this wonderful guy. Buddy, you will be greatly missed.

Mr. B was a huge influence in my daughter's life. She blossomed under his guidance and teaching expertise, graduating from Harvard Law last May. He was my school next door neighbor at Helen Herr ES. His love of learning and special way of instilling that love in his students touched so many lives. I am grateful to him and hope his family finds comfort and peace. Alicia cried when her kindergarten year ended and we cried together today when we learned of his passing. RIP, Mr.B.
