Since I knew both Louie and Eileen from working with both of them at NBD bank- I started there in 1963- I think a few more facts should be brought out about Louie. First, he was a WWII veteran and survived the Battle of the Bulge. He did'nt talk much about his war years- at least not to me. After the war, he was quite active in his VFW post, until it finally closed a few years ago. Louie was an excellent bowler for many years, before he met Eileen. He went to many out of state bowling tournaments. I used to go out to Shore Lanes to watch him bowl.
Louie loved to build things from wood and was an excellent carpenter. When I bought my first car, a 1968 Pontiac Bonneville, Louie voluntered to help me install a rear window defogger.
Louie also loved to cook, and in recent years would be our cook at my annual NBDers outdoor picnic. He did a fantastic job! But not only would he do the cooking, but also he would show up 3 hours early and help with getting things ready. Louie, you were a real treasure, and all of your NBD buddys will always love and miss you! Rest in Peace! Edward Zelazny,Jr.

Uncle:
There are so many memories that I will cherish forever. You were the most caring, loving, and giving person in my life. Over the years, our time together was special and I will never forget any of them. As I think of the many trips to Muskegon together, the weeks we spent at the beach, Frankenmuth lunches, and our many mini trips to various restaurants.
I will miss you deeply and will always remember how much you loved me and our family.
I will always love you.

Words cannot express our sadness. Uncle Louie was such a wonderful, caring, giving man. He meant so much too so many and has touched our own family's lives in countless ways. Uncle Louie had a heart of gold and will be deeply missed by many people and never forgotten. He was a wonderful Godfather and will be missed greatly. Love, Deanna, Jeffrey, Cullen and Isabel
