Dr. Asbell was the shining example of a very compassionate Physician, that truly cared about his patients. As a nurse ,I had the wonderful experience of working with him while he practiced and saw first hand his wonderful medical attention he gave his patients ,as well as being a patient myself at one time. He was sorely missed after his retirement, I know his family will feel their loss for much longer. My deepest sympathy to Dr. Asbells Family.

Our warmest thoughts and prayers surround Alice and her family. We only knew Jimmy about 3 years. It was not enough; but it was a blessing to our bodies and souls. He was a godly man, and we loved him; still do. God bless Jimmy's family and dear, sweet Alice.

Alice and Dr. Rev. Jimmy, I am so sorry to learn of your loss. I worked with Dr. Asbell in surgery as a radiologic technologist in the 1980s to 1990s. He was always good to me. Then, I reconnected with him at Vineville UMC when I was the Children's Minister. He and Aluce were very supportive of my ministry there, especially the Fall Festival. Bless you all.
