Charles Edward Ouzts, Jr.
July 3, 1930 - June 10, 2018
Forsyth, GA- Charles Edward Ouzts, Jr. passed away on June 10, 2018. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 18, 2018 at 10:00 AM at Christ Episcopal Church with Reverend Cynthia Knapp officiating. The family will greet friends after the church service. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675 or Christ Episcopal Church, 582 Walnut St. Macon, GA 31201.
Charles was a veteran of the Unites States Army, Second Division, serving in the Korean War. He was retired from the Macon-Bibb County Recreation Department after 40 years of service. He was a member of Saint James Episcopal Church where he served as Jr. Warden from 1997-1999. Charles was a member of the American Legion Post 3, VFW Post 658, Fraternal Order of Eagles 977, and Macon Moose Club 1455.
Charles was predeceased by his wife, Oppie Arnsdorff Ouzts and his parents, Charles E. Ouzts, Sr. and Clara Lefevre Ouzts.
Charles is survived by his two sons, Charles E. Ouzts, III (Susan) of Bolingbroke, Georgia and Donald L. Ouzts (Erin) of Spartanburg, South Carolina; five grandchildren, Brandy Ouzts Haight (Jonathan), Andrew Ouzts (Gray), Steven Ouzts (Cate), Sadie Ouzts, and Maddie Ouzts; greatgrandchild, Joel Ouzts; and sister, Jane Morris of Macon, Georgia.
