Fort Valley, GA- Fort Valley- Jeanine English Webb, 84, died Saturday, June 9, 2018. Family will receive friends from 2:00PM to 8:00PM on Monday, June 11, 2018, at their home, 78 Laura Lane. Graveside services will be held at 2:00PM on Tuesday, June 12, 2018, at Ramah Church Cemetery, Hwy 57 near Gordon, with Dr. John Beck officiating.
Born in Gordon to the late Frank and Alice Branan English, Mrs. Webb began her career in education at Fort Valley Primary School. For more than thirty years she taught at schools in Fort Valley. She was a longtime member of Fort Valley United Methodist Church, and loved her church, her Bible and morning devotionals. She enjoyed going to Lake Sinclair but her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandson.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Thomas Webb; their daughter and son in law, Jeanie and Lamar Smith of Knoxville; grandchildren, Trey and Lisa Smith of Fort Valley, Kollyn and Kaleb Allred and Cole Smith, all of Knoxville; a great grandson, Levi Smith; and numerous nephews and other family members. She is preceded in death by her sisters, Mary Frances Rauscher and Zelda Myrick.
Rooks Funeral Home in Fort Valley is in charge of arrangements.
