October 30, 1924 - April 5, 2018
Snellville, GA- John Edward Hall, 93, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, April 5, 2018. A Celebration of his Life will be held on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at Noon at Lizella United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Lizella Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Josh Gale officiating. The family will greet friends from 11:00 a.m. to service time at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lizella United Methodist Church, 2920 S. Lizella Road, Lizella GA 31052.
John was born in Emanuel County, GA to the late John Chestnut and Zannie Belle Kea Hall. He was preceded in death by his wife, Josephine Ellis Hall, daughter, Joanne H. MacFarlane, sister, Edna Earl Sandefur and brothers, Randy Hall and Paul Hall. John served his country in the United States Army Air Corp. He was retired from General Motors as a Field Engineer. John was a member of Lizella United Methodist Church, where he served on the Board of Trustees, Finance Committee, Administrative Board and was a member of the Wesley Fellowship Sunday School Class. He was a devoted and loving, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and uncle.
He is survived by his daughters, Elizabeth Hall, Sharron Hall and Jeanette H. Woodward, grandchildren, Patrick MacFarlane, Franklin Woodward, Katherine Bryan, great grandson, Jack Daniel Bryan, sisters, Belle H. Miller and Mae Urban and several nieces and nephews.
