Molly Griffith
July 9, 1963 - June 9, 2018
Warner Robins, GA- Molly Kathleen Griffith, 54, passed away Saturday, June 9, 2018. A memorial service for Mrs. Griffith will be held Saturday, June 23, 2018 at 3:00PM in the chapel of Heritage Memorial Funeral Home. A visitation for her family will be held at 2:00PM, one hour before the service. Reverend Shirley Porter will officiate.
Mrs. Griffith was born July 9, 1963 in Bakersfield, California to Jack and Marlys McMeans. This bubbly and optimistic young woman was a science teacher at Huntington Middle School and gave everything she had to the education of her students. After school, Mrs. Griffith gave even more of herself to coaching sports such as softball, basketball, and football. She always had an interest in looking out for others especially those with special needs. Mrs. Griffith volunteered her time to coaching the Houston County Sharks, a local wheelchair basketball team. She was always a cheerful person, enjoying the laughter of others. Many days she could be found sitting outdoors, watching the birds and the bunnies, and enjoying her flower garden that she spent so much time and effort on. Mrs. Griffith's outgoing personality and love could be felt among her church family at All Saints Episcopal. More than anything else in this world, she loved her family and spending time with them.
Mrs. Griffith's memory will forever be cherished by her loving daughters, Amelia Finch (Charlie) of Auburn, Georgia and Hannah Griffith of Atlanta; her parents, Jack and Marlys McMeans of Warner Robins; brother Michael McMeans of Arizona; sister, Patricia Blunden of Virginia; and four nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Children of Huntington Middle School, 206 Wellborn Rd., Warner Robins, Georgia, 31088.
