I remember Rusty from Pattie Hilsman Jr. High and Athens High School. He was always friendly and I don't recall him having a harsh word for anyone. He was always pleasant to be around and was really "one of the guys" at school. For Brent and the family, condolences to you for your loss. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Rusty was so kind to my family. My late mother-in-law, Margaret Stewart, spoke highly of him. She worked for Martin, Snow for many years. When she became ill, he came outside to the car in the parking lot, so that we could get power of attorney forms signed. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. My heart is still breaking from my dear husbands death last month. But I am imagining Ron and Rusty laughing and talking about their bulldawgs in heaven. My prayers are with the family.

Brent and family,
Carlton & I are so deeply saddened by the passing of Rusty. Know that he has passed on to such a wonderful place where there is no suffering, & that we will all be together again. Rusty was one of the most genuine and sweet person and will be missed greatly, but we are grateful for all the good memories from AHS & UGA. Rusty was very blessed to have had the life that he lived & to have had the most perfect mate one could ever hope for. Brent, you were truly a blessing to him, as he was to you. Always cherish that.
We love you very much & have you & your family in our thoughts & prayers.

"Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints." Brent, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family in this time of loss. It was my privilege to work with Rusty in several different capacities across the years, including South Georgia ADR and the old Grand Opera House Board, and in everything he did was style and wit, as well as a witness for the Lord he so faithfully served. He left us far too soon, but we shall always treasure his memory.

I was so blessed to know Rusty and Brent way back when! We had such a good time in high school and beyond. Rusty was a leader then and still is now. He had a quick wit and a genuine smile that Brent truly loved. I knew Rusty in grammar school at Barrow Elementary. Brent and I became best friends in high school. Rusty became a part of us. Those memories we will cherish forever. Brent, we love you and please know that our prayers are with you and your family. Rusty is at peace and with God. You can remember all the good times you shared and know that one day you will be together again. Bless you all.
