Joyce, Molly, Beverly, Tee and Fred: I was saddened to learn of Baldwin's demise. I am so sorry for your loss. What a sweet, kind, gentle man he was! Baldwin was a good friend to to my father for decades. Mama and us Neal girls often remarked how much he and Doc looked alike...similiar hair color, build, silver eyeglasses, blue eyes...they could've been brothers. Please know all of you are in my thoughts and hearts. Proust wrote, Memories abound, and grief abates. No doubt your memories of this stellar, sweet soul will nourish y'all in the days ahead. My very sincere condolences again.

What wonderful memories we former members of Woodland have of Mr. Martin. He touched each of our lives
in special ways. For the Booker family, he was there for us when Tom (our Dad) died unexpectedly in 1971; he helped me get my first job out of high school; and he was instrumental in helping Jack and me secure our first home loan through Home Federal. I loved running into Baldwin and Joyce on occasion at Kroger and not too long ago I sat next to Fred and his dad at Sid's when they were having lunch. It was a sweet time of reminiscing. Jack and I extend our love and sympathy to the Martin family as you remember and celebrate a life well lived.

Dear Martin family - You know I loved your dad like he was part of my family, after all, he always treated me like family. I have so many life lessons learned from Mr. Martin and fond memories - Sunday School class trips to the soda fountain at Chi-Chesters, Mercer basketball games, youth trips to the river house, swimming in your pool and playing tennis on your courts. I'm so very thankful for the Christian example he set and look forward to the day I will see him in heaven. Love and prayers to you all! ~Cindy

Dear Fred, Ron and I will "celebrate" with you and your family your Father's long life, his family and his incredible FAITH!

May GOD send special angels to comfort you with the sure knowledge that he is HOME and in the Lord's beautiful presence!

May you be comforted by the love that he left behind and by the love of such a devoted son, loving wife, children and grandchildren he carried with him!

We will pray for all of you in the days ahead as you search for a new normal without him here on earth. In our shared love for Christ, Ron and Dianne

And though you can't always see the bird singing, if you listen with your heart, you can always hear his song and know he is there."

And his lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

Karen and I are deeply saddened to hear of Baldwin's passing. We got to know him well at Woodland Christian Church where he was an elder, trusted leader and our Sunday School teacher. He was gifted in his ability to teach and relate, a skill I'm sure that served him well in his law practice. Though he was a shining pillar of the Macon community, he was so down to earth and we admired him greatly. Our deepest sympathies to Joyce and the entire family. Much love.
