Theron Harvey "T" Crouch
ELLAVILLE, GA- Theron Harvey "T" Crouch, 64, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 9, 2018, after a brief illness. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home in Perry. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m., at the funeral home. Interment will be in Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery in Ft. Mitchell, Alabama.
T was born in Munich, Germany, while his father was stationed there. Upon return to the US, he grew up in Columbus, Georgia, graduated from Columbus High School, and earned a bachelor degree from Waylon Baptist College in Texas. He proudly joined the U.S. Air Force, served our country as an Instructor at Sheppard's Air Force Base in Wichita Falls, TX; worked as a missile launch officer in the missile silo at Whiteman AFB in Knob Noster, Missouri; later served in the Command Post in Oxford, England; and also spent time in Texas, France, Cairo, and finally Robins Air Force Base in Warner Robins. He served in Desert Storm, promoted to Captain, and after 22 years of service, retired from the Air Force. T enjoyed doing handiwork and began working with Mullins Construction Company in Perry. Eventually, he took over as Property Manager at Commodore Manor in Perry. T was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Harvey Crouch.
Left to cherish the memories of T are his loving and devoted wife of over 36 years, Cheryl Crouch of Ellaville; his daughters, Collette Crouch of Rome, and Lisa Crouch Griffin (Don) of Tifton; his grandchildren, Cherika Hammonds, Ruby Spain, Gavin Spain, and Tessa Griffin; his sister, Beatrice Findley of Killeen, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.
