Delowrice Peters Obituary
Byron, GA- Delowrice "Lois" Walker Peters, 75, died Tuesday, April 16, 2013. Services will be held at 2:00PM on Friday, April 19, 2013, in the Chapel of Rooks Funeral Home, 109 West White Road in Byron with Rev. Mason Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Society Hill Church Cemetery, Marshall Mill Road in Crawford County. Family will greet friends from 6:00PM to 8:00PM on Thursday, April 18, 2013, at Rooks Funeral Home in Byron.
Born in Byron to the late Issac "Snap" Walker and Carlee Murphy Walker, Mrs. Peters was a retired textile mill worker, member of Society Hill Baptist Church, and loved fishing and puzzles.
Survivors include her children, Janet Ellis (Wesley) of Hawkinsville, John Anthony "Tony" Nicholson (Harlin) of Byron, and Kenneth Peters (Misty) of Cordele; grandchildren, Christy McCranie of Jones County, Eddie McCranie (Brandy) of Byron, Beth Sabelko (Jeff) of Wisconsin, Ashley Roberts of Hawkinsville, Amanda Crump of Jones County, Lane Gillis of North Carolina, and Lana Peters and Walker Peters of Cordele; great grandchildren, Willow, Haylie, Noah, Emma, Rayna, and Wyatt; sisters and brother, Faye Carden (Wyndell), Charlotte Wingers (Ronnie), and Jeanette Hunnicutt (Cotton), all of Macon, and Sue Meyers (Charles) and Leon Walker (Barbara), both of Byron.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pine Pointe Hospice, 6261 Peake Road, Macon, GA 31210. Please go to www.rooksfuneralhome.com to express online condolences. Rooks Funeral Home in Byron is in charge of arrangements.

I Loved my Anut Lois drearly.She was one of my favorite Anunts.I can remember all of the times thgrandmothers.Janet,Tony,and I would make play houses out side of our grandmothers and would make play houses outside by the edge of the woods.I know now that Anut Lois is in a better place and is not suffering or in pain anymore.Now she can be with my mom and the rest of her brothers.She can also be with my grandparents again.Now they can all be jioned back again.Good Bye Anunt Lois.Tell my mom that I love and miss her.Just as I know that Janet,Tony and Kenny will miss you

Sharon, Charlotte & Family, I am so sadden by the passing of Lois. I have many fond memories of her when I was younger. She was such a sweet person. Just take comfort in knowing she is pain free and in a much better place. Prayers for you all. God Bless.
