Helen W. Dozier

Helen W. Dozier -MONTEZUMA - Helen W. Dozier, widow of R. Talley Dozier passed away July 9, 2006 at Christian Ministries Hospice in Griffin, Georgia. Mrs. Dozier, a lifetime resident of Montezuma, Georgia was born on April 11, 1928 to Brandt and Helen Maffett Whatley. She was a member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church where she formerly served on the altar guild. Her interest varied from travel, art and knitting to gourmet cooking. She loved her friends and family and told fabulous memoirs of her experience with them. -Survivors are an aunt, Mrs. Frances Maffett of Macon, Georgia and cousins, Misters Jack and Mimmy Maffett and Miss Marilyn Maffett of Montezuma, Georgia, Shirley Maffett Shadduck of Greensboro, Georgia, Mrs. Beth Maffett Glass of Savannah, Georgia, Mrs. Tom Howell of Phoenix, Arizona; sisters-in-law, Mrs. Elizabeth Watkins of Griffin, Georgia, Mrs. Emily Morse of Cerritos, California. She was god mother to, Mrs. Helen Rhodes of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Miss Laura Watkins of White Plains, New York. To many nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews she was beloved Aunt Helen. -Memorial services will be conducted at 11A.M. July 20, 2006 at St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Montezuma, Georgia. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to St. Mary's Episcopal Church or a charity of your choice. -Watson-Mathews Funeral Home, Montezuma, GA has charge of funeral arrangements.
