Rosa M. Jacobsky, 91
PORTLAND - Rosa Marie (Giusti) Jacobsky, 91, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on Saturday, Sept. 22, 2018, at the Baron Center in Portland. She was born in Portland on Dec. 30, 1926, the daughter of the late Nicholas and Irene (Mancini) Giusti.
Rosa was Devout Catholic, regularly attending Mass at St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church in Portland. She was a lifetime member of the Sacred Heart Sodality.
As a young girl, Rosa worked at a local farm, where she met the love of her life, Anthony Jacobsky Sr., and they later married after Anthony's return from the war. Rosa and Anthony shared a loving marriage of over 36 years, until Anthony's passing in 1982. Rosa spent her younger years working in a textile factory and later worked for family owned businesses including, Merdek's Variety and Colucci's Hilltop. One of Rosa's favorite past times was playing Bingo every week.
Rosa is survived by her two sons, Anthony Jr. and his wife Bridget of Portland, and Stephen and his wife Enola of Windham; her sister Carol Ann Giusti of Portland, her brother Nicholas Giusti of New Gloucester; her six grandchildren, Lynn-Marie, Anthony III, Rebecca, Jeffrey, Stephen Jr., and Kara Mia; her three great-grandchildren, Bronson, Bridget and Vivian; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents; her husband; her sister Mary Griffin, and her brothers Camille, Robert and Santino.

on Friday, Sept. 28, 2018 from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. Prayers will be recited at 9:15 a.m. at the funeral home to be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, 72 Federal St., Portland. A committal will immediately follow the Mass at Calvary Cemetery, 1461 Broadway, South Portland, Maine 04106. Services are under the care and direction of Jones, Rich and Barnes Funeral Home, 199 Woodford St., Portland, Maine.
