Robert E. Lansinger, 63, of Rosemont, PA, died suddenly of a heart attack on October 2, 2014. Originally from Stewartstown, PA, Bob was the son of Lena Reed Lansinger and the late Marlin Lansinger. He was a 1969 graduate of Kennard Dale High School and a 1973 graduate of Gettysburg College where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology. He and his wife Nan met in Salzburg in his junior year of college on a January term trip to Austria. He earned a Masters degree in Information Science from Drexel University where he later served as an Adjunct Faculty member. Bob was Senior Director, Alliances for HCL America, Inc., an information technology consulting firm. His skill in building strategic alliances and business development took him through several challenging roles with growing companies after 15 years with AT&T. Those who had the privilege of working with him noted his integrity and positive approach that added to his skill at building teams, structuring strategic alliances and business planning. A talented IT executive, Bob brought his keen business acumen and warm, endearing personality to all he encountered. Bob was an active member of St. David's Episcopal Church in Wayne, a member of St. Davids Golf Club, and a former board member of the Radnor Educational Foundation. A coach, mentor and loyal friend, Bob will be most remembered for his dedication as a father and love for his family. He was approachable, friendly and always interested in others. With an easygoing nature and his witty humor, he found joy in simple pleasures. He could often be found on the first tee at St. Davids on a Saturday morning. He was a kind and gentle man, humble and selfless, sharing the abundant love and deep pride he had for his family. He will be greatly missed by his beloved wife of 37 years, Nan Lansinger (nee Messinger), and his children Robert Reed of Conshohocken, PA, Diana Lee of Rosemont, PA, Peter Wade of New York, NY and Peter's fianc Kaela Cashman. He is also survived by his mother Lena Lansinger of New Holland, PA and his sister Janet Lansinger of Yardville, NJ. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2014 at 2:00 PM at St. David's Episcopal Church, 763 SOUTH Valley Forge Road, Wayne, PA 19087 (near Maplewood Avenue). Interment private. Contributions in Bob's memory may be made to St. David's Church or the Radnor Educational Foundation, 135 S. Wayne Avenue, Wayne, PA 19087. Arrangements handled by Stuard Funeral Home in Ardmore.
