Robert E. Lansinger, 63, of Rosemont, PA, died suddenly of a heart attack on October 2, 2014. Originally from Stewartstown, PA, Bob was the son of Lena Reed Lansinger and the late Marlin Lansinger. He was a 1969 graduate of Kennard Dale High School and a 1973 graduate of Gettysburg College where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology. He and his wife Nan met in Salzburg in his junior year of college on a January term trip to Austria. He earned a Masters degree in Information Science from Drexel University where he later served as an Adjunct Faculty member. Bob was Senior Director, Alliances for HCL America, Inc., an information technology consulting firm. His skill in building strategic alliances and business development took him through several challenging roles with growing companies after 15 years with AT&T. Those who had the privilege of working with him noted his integrity and positive approach that added to his skill at building teams, structuring strategic alliances and business planning. A talented IT executive, Bob brought his keen business acumen and warm, endearing personality to all he encountered. Bob was an active member of St. David's Episcopal Church in Wayne, a member of St. Davids Golf Club, and a former board member of the Radnor Educational Foundation. A coach, mentor and loyal friend, Bob will be most remembered for his dedication as a father and love for his family. He was approachable, friendly and always interested in others. With an easygoing nature and his witty humor, he found joy in simple pleasures. He could often be found on the first tee at St. Davids on a Saturday morning. He was a kind and gentle man, humble and selfless, sharing the abundant love and deep pride he had for his family. He will be greatly missed by his beloved wife of 37 years, Nan Lansinger (nee Messinger), and his children Robert Reed of Conshohocken, PA, Diana Lee of Rosemont, PA, Peter Wade of New York, NY and Peter's fianc Kaela Cashman. He is also survived by his mother Lena Lansinger of New Holland, PA and his sister Janet Lansinger of Yardville, NJ. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2014 at 2:00 PM at St. David's Episcopal Church, 763 SOUTH Valley Forge Road, Wayne, PA 19087 (near Maplewood Avenue). Interment private. Contributions in Bob's memory may be made to St. David's Church or the Radnor Educational Foundation, 135 S. Wayne Avenue, Wayne, PA 19087. Arrangements handled by Stuard Funeral Home in Ardmore.

I am so saddened to hear of Bob's passing, but so grateful that we were friends for the past 18 years or so. Bob was a good friend, a valued colleague and dedicated most of all to his wife and children. Bob could converse about most any subject as an expert, and he was so much a part of our team at AT&T. I have so many happy memories of visits with Bob around the US. He will be sorely missed, but those of us who knew him well were truly blessed.

I am so saddened to hear of Bob's sudden passing. I will never forget all the great times we shared in the Kennard-Dale high school band. We just reminisced about this at our 45th KDHS reunion. Bob truly was a wonderful man. My sincere sympathy to all the family.

He was a wonderful person with whom I quickly developed a great friendship when we started working together a little over 2 years ago.

I was his nominal “boss”. However, I received more counsel and advice from him than I gave. Bob was a master of asking good questions and using them as a gentle teaching tool.

I really can't recall a time when he was critical of anyone. He may have thought something could have been done different but he never turned that into a negative comment about an individual.

Bob lived life well, loved his family and friends and was loved in return. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Many blessings of comfort to Lena and Janet. It was a pleasure reading of all Bob's accomplishments in his life. As for his wife and children, may you find comfort knowing he was always a nice guy and had the smile like his grandpa and dad. It was a pleasure growing up with Bob.

Nan and family. Just wanted to say that Bob carried his character throughout his life the same as he did in high school. Always well liked and easy to talk with. One of the truly nicest guys I had the pleasure of knowing.

Dear Nan, My heart goes out to you and your family with untimely passing of such a gentleman. We were graced by his presence at our 45th KD class reunion couple weeks ago. He sat at our table along with 3 other couples and talked about his career and his children. What a blessing it was to be with him that evening and to know him in life. He will truly be missed.

I played with Bob many times in the Satuday Hole-in-the-Ground Gang. Always a pleasure. I'll remember his smile, soft voice, and his Swisher Sweet cigars, that reminded me of being on the golf course with my dad. A wave, a few words as we passed on the course or in the locker room. I'll miss you, Bob.

Dear Nan and Family
Sincerest condolences on Bob's passing. We grew up together in Stewartstown, played together on the KD football and track teams and spent a lot of our idle hours hanging out. He was intelligent, fun and classy; an all-around nice guy. His great success in both his family and professional life were no surprise. May you find strength and comfort in his memory.

Dear Nan and Family,
This was a real shock. Bob was a favorite of all at St Davids, especially the Hole in the Ground Gang. A real gentleman, it was a privilege to play a Saturday morning round with him. He was proud of his children's accomplishments, but more importantly of who they have each grown up to be. It was not surprising to read of his professional success, but I'm confident that his career came after his family.
I'm better off for having known him as a friend.
