Mervin Clardy Obituary
He was a Glen Rose High School Class of 1973 graduate, was a prison guard for the Ouachita River Correction Unit and was a member of Glen Rose Missionary Baptist Church. Merv was a past member of the Saline County Moose Lodge, loved to hunt, fish, cook, but especially be with his grandkids. Other than his parents he was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Ellie and Emma Clardy.
Survivors are his sons, Juston Clardy (Crystal) of Bismarck, Matt Clardy (Brittany) and Heath Clardy (Hannah) all of Glen Rose; step-daughter, Alyssa Beck of Glen Rose; brother, Phil Clardy (Teresa) of Butterfield; seven grandchildren, Hannah, Chrystal, Bowen, Kevin, Morgan, Wylie Grace and Braelyn; niece, Tasha Goss and nephew, Shain Clardy.
Visitation was Monday November 23, from 6:00-8:00pm at Regency Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, November 24, at 11:00am in the Regency Chapel with Brother Harold Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Fairplay Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Keith Honold, Larry Mann, Karl Mann, Larry Reed, Mike Taylor, Johnny Nicklaus, Sammy Smith and Dennis Fendley. Honorary pallbearers are Cord Cloinger and Chris Hunter.
