Mankato resident, Lori Ann Ebbenga, age 53, died Monday, May 12, 2008 at Immanuel St. Joseph’s Hospital.Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 17 at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in North Mankato, with Pastor Gary Wong officiating. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Woodland Hills Funeral Home and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Interment will be 3:00 p.m. Saturday in St. Olaf Cemetery in Odin, MN.Lori was born January 10, 1955 in Minneapolis to Moreen and Alta (Anderson) Thoreson. On March 23, 1974, she married Randall Ebbenga at St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Odin, MN. Lori enjoyed bird watching, glass collecting, garage sales, and gardening. She was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church.Lori is survived by her sons, Joseph Ebbenga of Mankato, Jared Ebbenga of North Mankato, Paul Ebbenga of Tempe, AZ; daughter, Corinne Ebbenga of Minneapolis; brothers, Bill and Wayne Thoreson of Minneapolis; sisters, Gayle (Paul) Naegeli of Hayward, WI, Cheryl (Jim) Dovorany of Lake Elmo; ex-husband, Randall Ebbenga of Mankato; and numerous nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents, and sister, Sandy Thoreson Bohn.
