Betty Jean Roberts

SHELBY: Betty Jean Roberts, age 89, resident of Shelby died Friday, January 11, 2013 in Crestwood Care Center.

Born September 7, 1923 in Alliance, Ohio to Jacob and Ruth (Stacey) Stultz, she had been a Shelby resident for the majority of her life. She was a homemaker who dearly loved the country lifestyle and was a former employee of the Shelby Gum Co., Shelby Seamless Tube and Shelby Spring Hinge.

Survivors include two daughters, Peggy (John) Van Wagner of Shelby and Robin Swanger of Shelby; one son, Scott Roberts of Shelby; her grandchildren, Bryan (Regina) Van Wagner, Broc Van Wagner, Joe (Allison) Mahon, Heath Mahon, Amber Craft, Joleen (Justin Sampsel) Johnson, and Scott (Erin) Roberts, Jr.; numerous great-grandchildren; two sisters, Faye (Louis) Olsen of Florida and Delores (Robert) Ferguson of Alliance; nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ozzie "Butch" Roberts in 1997; three brothers, Richard, Thurman "Iggy" and Jack Stultz; three sisters, Dorothy Hutzley, Fern Thrash and Jane Becker and an infant brother, Jimmy Stultz.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at the Barkdull Funeral Home in Shelby. Reverend Steven L. Schag will officiate with interment in Oakland Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Memorial expressions may be made to the , P.O.
