Karen Lee Basquin

LUCAS: Karen Lee Basquin, 59, of Lucas North Road, Lucas died unexpectedly Sunday morning, Dec. 29, 2013 at her home following a brief illness. Karen was born Sept. 5, 1954 in Mansfield and was the daughter of the late Charles C. and Esther Irene (Kiner) Smith. She had lived in the Lucas area all her life and was a graduate of Lucas High School. Karen was a receptionist for Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center Mansfield and for Dr. Timperman before his retirement. She had previously worked for the Tappan Company and Richland Hospital. Karen was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Lucas and one of the many things she enjoyed was shopping in Amish country with her daughter Kalee.

She is survived by her husband, Scott D. Basquin, whom she married June 10, 1978; 2 sons: Troy Basquin of Lucas and Chad (Amanda) Basquin of Medina; her daughter: Kalee Basquin of Twinsburg; and 1 grandson: Andrew Basquin. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Dec. 31 at 11:00 AM in St. Paul Lutheran Church, Lucas with Rev. Ronald Daley, officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Perrysville.
