Mary Kathryn "Kay" Pore

MANSFIELD: Mary Kathryn "Kay" Pore, 75, of Mansfield, OH passed away after a brief illness December 31, 2013. Born February 11, 1938 in Mansfield, she was the daughter of Donald and Gertrude Matthes. Kay worked at Forts Auto Electric and for the Richland County Courthouse in the marriage license department. She later went to work at Coburn Manufacturing in Ashland. She attended St. Paul Lutheran Church in Lucas. Kay was a member of the White Shrine of Jerusalem, where she was at one time Worthy High Priestess, and also a member of the Order of Eastern Star. She enjoyed her family very much, especially making big dinners for them.

Surviving are her sons, Aaron (Michelle) Pore of Bellville and David Pore of Mansfield; grandchildren, Olivia, Erica, David T. (Jen Watkins), and Luke Pore; sister, Beverly (Dennis) McKinley of Mansfield; nieces and nephews, Shawn (Carrie) McKinley, Michael (Christa) McKinley, Robin (Eddie) Voytko, and Rick Hardin; her dog, Heidi; and many close friends.

Kay was preceded in death by her husband, Donovan "Don" Pore, who died December 10, 2010; parents; and twin sister, Barbara Ann Matthes.

Family and friends are invited to call Friday, January 3, 2014 from 6-8:00p.m. at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 4, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery.
