Donna Elkins Obituary

MANSFIELD - Donna Louise Elkins, 42, of Mansfield, died Friday,
November 28, 2008 at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital. Born October 16, 1966 in Shelby, she was the daughter of Donald Lee and Nina Imogene (Morris) Elkins. Donna attended the Church of Christ and Christian Union on Hanna Rd. She loved deeply her grandson, Eli, and also her cats Goober and Smokey, and bird Scooby-Doo. Donna loved to knit and crochet blankets and then give them as gifts.
She is survived by daughter, Rebecca A. Moore of Mansfield; a grandson, Eli Joseph Moore; brother, Darrell (Kathy) Elkins of Mansfield; sisters, Cherie (Ed) Haas of Galion, and Linda Elkins of Mansfield; five nieces; and three nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; nephew, James Lee Elkins; twin nieces; and a cat named Fuzzie.
Friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Tuesday December 2, 2008, at the Diamond St. Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia Foundation in memory of Donna.
