Myron Duwan Catchings
COLUMBUS: Myron Duwan Catchings, 51, was born to the late Kary Catchings, Sr. and Martha Lene Catchings on June 26, 1963 in Mansfield, Ohio and passed away on November 9, 2014. He spent most of his adult life in Mansfield and later moved to Columbus, Ohio where he lived for over 15 years.
He accepted Christ at an early age, and joined Mt. Sinai Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Willard Whitson. He enjoyed life to the fullest and never met a stranger. He enjoyed going to church, listening to gospel music and outdoor activities.
Both parents preceded him in death and one sister, Valerie Lynn Catchings.
Myron leaves to cherish his memory, his companion, Serita Sanders; and one son, Lorenzo Weepy. He is survived by five brothers: Kary (Carolyn M.) Catchings Jr. of Trotwood, Ohio, Charles (Betty) Catchings, Sr., Mark Catchings, Tony (Annine) Catchings, Carl Catchings all of Mansfield, Ohio; also surviving are four sisters: Martha Catchings of Columbus, Ohio, Minnie (Geron) Johnson, Carolyn Catchings, Melinda (Robert) White all of Mansfield, Ohio. He is also survived by a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services are at Smoots Funeral Home, 1166 Parsons Ave., Columbus, OH 43206 at 1:00 pm on November 22, 2014.
