GALION: Roy D. Clark, 82, of Galion, died Sunday, Dec. 2, 2012 at MedCentral/Mansfield Hospital in Mansfield after a long illness.

Born Nov. 2 1930 in Gassaway, W. Va., he was the son of the late James R. and Dessie (Sears) Clark.

Roy was a United States Army veteran serving during the Korean War and moved to California in 1967 and worked as a security guard for Continental Graphics. He moved back to Galion in 2002. He loved to hunt, fish, shoot trap and skeet and was a lifetime member of the N.R.A.

He is survived by one son, Cory Allen (Misti) Clark of Galion; one daughter, Pamela (John) Hart of Galion; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Wilma Jean Long of Galion and Bonnie (Dick) Dooley of Bowling Green; one brother, David (Jeanie) Clark of Galion; and his former wife, Shirley (Miller) Clark.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Sherron Radford; and one son, Charles Clark.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012 at Richardson-Davis Funeral Home in Galion where services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, with Pastor Rodney Noblit officiating. Interment will be in Iberia Cemetery with full military honors held by the United States Army and the Galion/Crestline area veterans organizations.
