Thomas "Tom" R. Robinson

Mansfield - Thomas "Tom" R. Robinson, 57, of Mansfield, passed away early Wednesday morning, September 12, 2018, at OhioHealth Riverside Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. He was born December 6, 1960, in Mansfield, Ohio, to the late Charles "Pete" and Ruth (Sergent) Robinson.

A generous, awesome man with a humorous side to his personality, he gave everyone a unique nickname perfectly suited to them. Tom was a wonderful provider for his family and enjoyed each and every moment with them.

Going to auctions searching for that special something, and being outdoors appreciating the beauty of nature, were just two of the ways he spent his free time. Tom was a devoted, long-suffering fan of the Cleveland Browns, waiting for that elusive time when the team won a game.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Kim Carter Robinson; two daughters, Tameka (Bruce) Hammond and Lisa Robinson; a son, Eric (Jennifer) Robinson; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; seven siblings, Joanne Friend, Janie (Rick) Wolf, Sue (Bob) Craft, Danny (Lisa) Robinson, Rick Robinson, Betty (Mike) Traxler and Charles Robinson (Tammy Good); and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a nephew, Danny Robinson Jr.

The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday, September 17, 2018, at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road.
