Elizabeth Ann Stone

MANSFIELD: Elizabeth Ann Stone, 79, of Mansfield, died Thursday, March 27, 2014 at MedCentral Mansfield. Born July 10, 1934 in Olive Hill, Kentucky, she was the daughter of James and Isabella (Bond) Stamper. A homemaker, she was a faithful member of Cornerstone Free Will Baptist Church where she was involved in many activities. She enjoyed working in her garden, tending to her flowers, quilting and her beloved dog, Christie, but her greatest joy was that of a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her children, Debra (John) Hecht of Mansfield, Hertis (Linda) Stone, Jr. of Ontario, Randy (Kellie) Stone of Ontario, Pamela (Brian) Stafford of Mansfield, Karen (Larry) Drouhard of Mansfield and James (Shelley) Stone of Mansfield; 15 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; a sister, Faye (Tom) Shoemaker of Granite City, Illinois; a brother, Jim (Jo Ann) Stamper of Granite City, Illinois; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Hertis H. Stone, Sr., former pastor of Wyandotte Free Will Baptist Church; her parents; and a grandson, Ryan K. Stone.

Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday, March 30, 2014 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road, Ontario. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 31, 2014 at Cornerstone Free Will Baptist Church, 1602 Walker Lake Road, Mansfield conducted by Rev. John Johnson. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Cornerstone Free Will Baptist Church, 1602 Walker Lake Road, Mansfield, Ohio 44906.
