Timothy K. (Timmy) Grossman Obituary
Timothy K. Grossman (Timmy) Born December 28, 1977, in San Francisco. Survived by his mother, Marti J. Grossman, San Rafael; and his father, Thomas Grossman, Dunsmuir; and his most beloved brother and best friend, Tyler Grossman (and wife, Beth), niece/nephew Paige and Reed Grossman, Corte Madera. Also mourned by his many cousins, aunts, uncles, and good friends from the East Coast, Canada, overseas, and the Bay Area. Loving son, brother, cousin, uncle, and friend. Beloved teacher. Lover of music, dancing, nature and hiking. A man who truly did what he loved and loved what he did. Marin native and world traveler. After receiving his BA from Southern Oregon U. he obtained his teaching credential at Dominican University. After teaching in Marin, he taught in Seoul. Korea, and spent the past four years teaching in Trashiyangtse, Bhutan, which was the true joy of his life, making an impact on the lives of so many wonderful young people who adored Mr. Tim. Unfortunately he contracted an infectious disease there that he battled for years. We should all strive to live by Tim's last words "Be Happy and Have Fun!" Per Tim's request, there will be no memorial service. However, donations can be sent to Timothy Grossman with "Tsenkharla Middle School" in subject line, in care of Bank of America, 50 Bon Air, Greenbrae, 94904. (Acct 001691167324, the school is his beneficiary). All donations will be sent to the school and children Tim taught and loved, to aid them in furthering their education and much needed books and supplies.
