Taylor Lynn Cohen Our beloved Taylor born August 17th, 1993 passed away unexpectedly on March 22, 2008, just 14 years old. Taylor is survived by her mother Gail; her father Michael, brother Mason. Taylor was full of life and her fighting spirit remains in all of us….She loved her family and many many friends, her initials "TLC" signified the way she loved and cared for others. She was a freshman at Terra Linda High School and some of her interests and loves included the Orca swim team, photography, writing, and was an avid reader. She had great love for her pets; Nation, Cooper, and Hollywood; and was always trying to save or heal any injured animal she came across. Most importantly Taylor was very passionate about her friends and was always the "shoulder to cry on." We think God has a new social director now. Last summer Taylor celebrated her Bat Mitzvah with her "soul sister" Stephanie Posert. We would like to thank Marin County 911/EMS and Marin General Hospital, REACH flight crew, Oakland Children's Hospital and George Mark Children's House in San Leandro. Everyone made such a valiant effort to save Taylor's life and took such loving care of Taylor and her family. We would also like to thank Taylors Pediatrician Dr. Kara Ornstein and her Godfather Dr. Andrew Katz who were there to guide and support them through this horrible ordeal. We also would like to thank Rabbi Michael Lezak and Cantor David Margules of Rodef Sholom who were there with them with love and so much support from the start to the end of Taylors life. Taylor is also survived by her Uncle West who is our "rock". Grandparents Nancy McKean, Derald Long, Judith Cohen, Richard Cohen and Leslie Cohen. Aunt Kelly Shore, Uncle Eric Shore, Cousins Benjamin, Daniel and Jeremy. Memorial Services will be held in the Temple at Congregation Rodef Sholom on Wednesday March 26, 2008 at 4:00 PM, 170 North San Pedro Road San Rafael, CA 94903. Donations will be gratefully accepted in her name at the George Mark Childrens House, 2121 George Mark Lane, San Leandro, CA 94578
