John F. McClung

CARDINGTON: John F. McClung, age 57, of Cardington, went to be reunited with his wife on October 11, 2012. He was born on September 6, 1955 in Wheeling, West Virginia to James C. McClung who is deceased and his mother Mary Rose (Whyte) McClung who survives in Columbus.

On May 13, 1978 he married Lori Ann Lebreck, and she preceded him in death earlier this year.

John was a master home renovator, owning his own construction company W.C. Stumbo. He enjoyed making furniture and spending time with his family. He was a 1973 graduate of Whetstone High School in Columbus.

Survivors include their children, Rebecca Blevins of Cardington, Derrick McClung of Marion and Blake McClung of Cardington; three grandchildren, Adrianna McClung, Isabel and Lundyn Blevins; his siblings: Mike McClung of Columbus, Kathy McClung of Raleigh, NC, James (Kristi) McClung of St. Charles, MO, and Linda (Bob) Huhn of Franklin, Mass. John was preceded in death by his father and beloved wife, Lori.

Friends and family may call Tuesday, October 16, 2012 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Gompf Funeral Home, 440 South Center Street, Cardington, where funeral services will begin promptly at 1:00 PM. The burial will follow in Glendale-Union Cemetery in Cardington.

To honor the wonderful care his nurse Rita provided, the McClung family would like memorial donations to be made to Marion General Hospital Hospice, 278 Barks Road West, Marion, OH. 43302.
