UPPER SANDUSKY: Mary Alice Robey, age 90, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, February 24, 2013 at 3:45AM at the Fairhaven Community in Upper Sandusky.

Mary Alice was born on July 12, 1922 in Morral, Ohio to George and Dorothy (Fehl) Lucas, both of whom are deceased. She was married to Edward Griswold and he is deceased and also was married to Donald Robey, who is also deceased.

Surviving are four sons, Tom (Bonnie) Griswold, Alan Griswold, Bill (Deb) Griswold and Mark (Karen) Griswold, all of Upper Sandusky; 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Also surviving is a brother, Ted (Jo) Lucas of Upper Sandusky; and a sister in law, Lois Lucas of Frost Proof, Florida, and a daughter in law, Vickie Griswold.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Dick and Gene Lucas.

Mary Alice was a homemaker and worked at Fairhaven Home as a supervisor of Housekeeping and Laundry. She was a 1940 graduate of Upper Sandusky High School and attended the Marion Business School. Mary Alice was a long time member of the Warpole Chapter Order of the Eastern Star No. 366, Women of the Moose Lodge 777, VFW Auxillary Post #2842, American Legion Post #225 Auxillary, all of Upper Sandusky. During her stay at Fairhaven, she served as President of the Residence Council for many years. For hobbies she enjoyed working on jigsaw puzzles, crossword puzzles, sewing, crocheting, and watching OSU sporting events and golf on tv.

Funeral services for Mary Alice Robey will be held at 11:00AM Thursday, February 28, 2013 at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky, with Rev. Mary Curtis officiating. Burial will follow in Grand Prairie Cemetery.

Visitations will be held on Wednesday from 5:00PM to 8:0PM on Wednesday at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky.
