Annette S. Vaughn Herchick
Mount Gilead - Annette S. Vaughn Herchick, age 59, of Mount Gilead, passed away Sunday evening, January 10, 2021, at Altercare of Bucyrus, following a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease.
On September 6, 1961, Annette was born in Mount Gilead, Ohio, a daughter of LaVerne Wayne and Marlene June (Koehler) Westbrook. She graduated from Mount Gilead High School in the Class of 1979. She furthered her education by receiving her Associate's in Medical Laboratory Technology at Marion Technical College.
For many years, Annette worked as a lab technician at the Smith Clinic in Marion.
Annette enjoyed being outside taking care of her yard and working in her flower garden. She also loved to drive around in her Corvette. Annette liked animals and was especially fond of her dog, Riley.
Most important to Annette was being with her family. She cherished her grandchildren. Annette was a loving woman who loved to have fun and laugh.
Annette will be dearly missed by her two sons: Jordan (Kerry) Guiher of Hillsboro, TN, Jason (Megan) Guiher of Bucyrus; four grandchildren: Haylee, Kane, Kinsley, Gabriel Guiher; her parents, LaVerne and Marlene Westbrook of Galion; a sister, Lesa Wiehe of Mount Gilead; and two brothers: Larry (Lisa) Westbrook and Gary (Versa) Westbrook, both of Mount Gilead.
She was preceded in death by her second husband, Bob Vaughn, who she will be laid to rest by.
Annette's family will greet friends from 5 - 7 p.m. on Thursday, January 14, 2021, at the Snyder Funeral Homes, Craven Chapel, 67 N. Main St., Mount Gilead. Services to honor and celebrate her life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 15, 2021 at Caledonia Cemetery with Minister, Dr. Jeff Collins officiating.
