Barbara Maynard Obituary

MARION - Barbara Jean Maynard, age 74 of Marion passed away Fri
day, February 20, 2009 at her residence. Born in Muskogee, Oklahoma to the late Archie K. and Mary (English) Wright. Barbara married Paul O. Maynard Sr. on December 27, 1961 in Los Angeles, California and he survives.
She was head nurse at UCLA Medical Center for four years, a part time nurse at Marion General Hospital for fourteen years and a school nurse for 26 years.
Barbara is survived by three sons, Paul (Tina) Maynard Jr., of Delaware, OH., Michael (Debbie) Maynard of Marion, Mathew Maynard of Marion; one daughter, Mary (Joseph) Maiorano of Stuebenville, OH.; four sisters, Shirley Frisby of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Mary Jo (Raliegh ) Wright of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Joan (Louis) Higgs of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Helen (Tom) Burns of Pampa, Texas; seven grandchildren, Paul Maynard III, Alexander Maynard, Madison Maynard, Ensign Maiorano, Porter Maiorano, Samuel Maiorano, Foster Maiorano; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Isabella Maiorano.
Barbara will be sadly missed by her family, friends, the staff at Marion Harding High School, as well as many friends in the Marion City Schools. Barbara loved to read books, she loved the Beatles and traveling.
Family will receive friends from 4:00 Pm till 8:00 PM Monday, February 23, 2009 at Gunder/Hall & Folk Funeral Directors with parish prayers at 4:00 PM. A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 AM Tuesday, February 24, 2009 at St Mary Church. Burial will follow in St Mary's Cemetery.
