Charles (Chuck) K. Deem

Mount Gilead - Charles (Chuck) K. Deem, age 69 of Mount Gilead, passed away on Thursday, February 11, 2021 at his residence.

Chuck was born on March 15, 1951 to the late Charles M. and Rosalind (Gandert) Deem in Marion, Ohio. On December 31, 1993, he married Sieglinde (Sieg) Schmidt in Galion, Ohio.

Chuck and Sieglinde (Sieg) attended the Prospect Street United Methodist Church. He worked at Marion Steel for 12 years. Then he was working as an Expander Operator for Whirlpool Corporation for the last 15 years. Chuck loved fishing, riding his Harley's, and the outdoors. He will truly be missed by his family and friends.

Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, Charles M. and Rosalind Deem.

Those who will cherish his memories include his wife of 27 years: Sieglinde (Sieg) Deem of Mount Gilead, OH; his son: Charles A. (Sally) Deem of Marion, OH; his brother: John (Trudy) Deem of Marion, OH; his sister: Pat Fitch of Lewis Center, OH; his grandson: Andrew Deem; and a few nieces and nephews.

Friends and family may come to honor Chuck's life on Monday, March 1, 2021 from 1pm to 2pm. A memorial service to honor Chuck's life will be held on Monday, March 1, 2021 starting at 2pm. Face masks and social distancing will be observed, with only 25 people allowed during these times. Donations may be given in Chuck's memory to The Humane Society of Morrow County, 16 S.
