Mark Allen Lasley Obituary
Mark Allen Lasley

Marion - Mark Allen Lasley, age 74 of Delaware and formerly of Marion, passed away on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at his Willow Brook residence in Delaware.

He was born on May 13, 1944 to Thomas and Anna Frances Lasley. He was honored to serve his country as a member of the United States Navy aboard the USS Intrepid. Mark enjoyed the opportunity to serve in several military organizations such as AmVets, the VFW, and The American Legion. He was very proud of his military career and enjoyed the opportunity it afforded him to take part in the Honor Flight in 2017 and to be recognized on the ice at a Columbus Blue Jackets game in 2018. He was an avid fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cleveland Browns and Indians. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and uncle. Mark treated everyone as a friend. He loved his family and his friends and they all, in turn, loved him. His friendliness and sense of humor will be greatly missed.

Mark is survived by his daughters, Melissa (Jeremiah) Scoville and Michelle (Ben) Taylor; granddaughter, Morgan LeeAnn Taylor; his mother, Anna Frances Lasley; brother, Thomas J. (Janet) Lasley II of Dayton; and sister Kathryn (Tom) Brod of Columbus; his step-children: Lorie and Rodney (Jennifer) Kring, Bryan (Tina) Campbell, and Jason (Tina) Fox; as well as other step-children and step-grandchildren; dear friend and the mother of his children, Linda Dean; special friend, Ray Mabrey, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Mark was preceded in death by his wife of 18 years, Claudia âœSueâ? Eichensehr Lasley, son Mark Allen Lasley II, and father Thomas J. Lasley.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 16, 2018 from 6 â" 8 pm at the Snyder-Rodman Funeral Center, 101 Valleyside Drive (formerly 1510 W. William Street), Delaware, where celebration of life services will be held on Friday, August 17, 2018 at 11:00 am with Celebrant Marvin Hintz officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Willow Brook Christian Village, 100 Willowbrook Way South, Delaware, OH 43015 or Honor Flight of Columbus, P.O. Box 12036 Columbus, Ohio 43212.
