Michael Allen Bell

Funeral services for Michael Allen Bell, 21, of Marshall will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2008, in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home with the Rev. Shane Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at the Scottsville Cemetery in Scottsville. Mr. Bell passed away Saturday, Sept. 20, 2008, in Arcadia, La., as a result of an automobile accident. Michael Allen Bell was born in Shreveport, La., on Dec. 16, 1986, to Claire Weston Bell Jr. and Donna Perry Bell. He attended Trinity Episcopal School, Marshall High School, where he played tennis for two years, and TSTC in Marshall, where he studied computer programming. He enjoyed jet skiing, riding 4-wheelers, and fishing. He was a construction worker for Butler Construction. He is survived by his mother, Donna Bell; his father and step-mother, Wes Bell and Debbie Abernathy; and his sister, Melissa Bell, all of Marshall. Also surviving Mr. Bell are his grandmothers, Rebecca Bell of Crystal Beach and Bertha Miller of San Diego, Calif.; his grandfather, Don Perry of Marshall; aunts and uncles, Joe and Brenda Bell of Morgan City, La., Steven Bennett Ritchey of Orange Grove, and George Purser Ritchey of Lake Taho, Calif.; and a number of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Claire Weston Bell Sr. Pallbearers will be Colton Welch, Jacob Gage, Chris Hawkins, Cheese Flanagan, Val Nail, and Louie Picou.
