Wendy was married for years to my Dad's sister, Juanita Gilstrap. After she passed away, he continued a close relationship with my Mom and Dad, Elizabeth and Jay Gilstrap. For years now, after Aunt Juanita, Mom and Dad have passed away, he has continued to stay in touch with me. He attended my husband's graveside service in Marshall on December, 2008. I was very touched by that. Linda, Wendy and other family members, my thoughts are with you on the loss of your loving father and grandfather.

Wendy was a wonderful person...You couldn't help loving him. He always greeted me with a hug and a smile. My Mom worked for him years ago and he was a family friend that came running to help if we needed him. Each time we had him work or install A/C or Heating, he would make sure we were taken care of, even if it meant working us in between others and after he was done for the day, God bless his soul, he would drag over to help...He never told me no and he always came to help. I loved him and I will miss him. He was a good man, a Christian and one true friend. Now God has a good fishing buddy!

I'm sorry to hear of the passing of Wendy. He was a wonderful man. If it were not for him I would not have had pictures of my marriage. Wendy meet us at the court house in Marshall with a camera, a bouquet of pink roses, a bottle of champagne, and his famous top hat. I told him all he needed was his shotgun to make it official. We laughed about it for years. Wendy was one of my favorite customers at Carrier-Bock. Wendy was a wonderful person and made my life richer for knowing him.
